A couple weeks before Easter 2024 I wrote this and I felt it should be shared again this Easter.
Whoa I just woke up from a dream about speaking at cr about how our good good Father has good good plans for us and about being brought from death to life in Him.
And then in my mind I saw a flash of light and I heard in my head a keyboard playing like 2 chords really fast. Like clang clang.
God has good good plans for us.
The good good plans he has for us is like Mary poppins bag she reaches in and pulls out blessing after blessing the bottom is unseen and never ending. Just as Gods good good plans for us!
The devil wants to kill, steal, and destroy you! He is the Father of lies! Every time you turn away from your sin and toward our Heavenly Father the devil loses his power over you. He throws a fit.
We must remember that It is because of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross this Good Friday and because of the power of the Holy Spirit through the resurrection of Jesus that we can approach God’s throne with confidence. I know that I am not worthy. I know that I have nothing of myself to offer Him. But when I accepted Jesus as my savior. When I took that first step from then on all God sees is my Jesus. Like literally picture looking in the mirror but instead of seeing yourself all you see is Jesus. I can’t even grasp that in my human mind! But it’s true! That’s what Gods sees in me and if you have accepted Jesus as your savior that’s what he sees in you.
As Romans 8:1 states
”There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.“
The Oxford dictionary defines Condemnation as the expression of very strong disapproval.
People! Pay attention to this! This is what the deviL desires. He wants you to feel condemned. He wants you to feel shame and guilt. He wants you to feel like you can’t possibly come to church. You are just too broken. Too messed up. That you have to “get your life together” before you come to Jesus. Guess what. You are broken! I am broken. But Jesus says in Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.“ Bring your burdens to Jesus! Bring yourselves just as you are. Bring whatever baggage you are carrying and dump it all at the foot of the cross and I promise you that you will find a freedom you have never before experienced. God loves you so much more than you can possibly imagine! Amen!
When you turn to God when you call your sponsor instead of picking up that drink… or you turn on praise music instead of watching porn… or you wake up and go to church even though you don’t feel like it and the shame and the guilt are so deeply crushing and it feels like you are alone and no one could possibly love you. Know this my friends! GOD LOVES YOU!!! I believe every time we turn to him there is a party in heaven! We have VICTORY in Jesus! Amen!
The devil wants us to hide our sins. He wants us to believe we are alone. He wants us to believe that we are the only ones who have ever struggled with porn addiction… or rage…suicidal thoughts… depression… anxiety… codependency… all of these things I have personally battled with. The devil wants us to believe that no one could possibly love us. He wants us to believe that no one could possibly see us. God sees you! I see you! When we ask Jesus into our lives to forgive our sins we are cleansed we are made new the old has gone the new has come! Isaiah 1:18 starts “Come let us talk this over…” It’s an invitation. God invites you to join him at his table! Will you accept his invitation? Will you take the first step of accepting Jesus as your savior? I promise it will be the best decision of your life!
My friends your worth is found in CHRIST!!! So when the devil is trying to remind you of all your past sins LOOK UP! Look to Heaven! Look to Jesus! Declare that you have VICTORY in Jesus! Bring all of your pain all your guilt all your shame all your addictions and anger. Share what’s burdening your heart. I promise you you are not alone. When the spirit is convicting you confess and share with a trusted friend, accountability partner, sponsor, or pastor. Every time we do this we find that we were never alone that God was always there just waiting ever so patiently for us to turn to Him.
God loves you so much! Amen!
